Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are working with a fantastic Primary school based in the Preston Area.
We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant Level 2b (TA2b) to support pupils in our Year 3 class. The successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary basis and will work full-time until a permanent appointment is made.
Working Hours
*Monday to Friday
*8:40am - 3:30pm
*30-minute unpaid lunch break
Key Responsibilities
*Provide classroom-based support within a Year 3 class.
*Deliver interventions to individuals and small groups of pupils.
*Support teaching and learning across the curriculum.
*Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to meet pupils’ individual needs.
*Provide a daily 30-minute 1:1 lunchtime support session for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
*Contribute to the positive wellbeing, progress and inclusion of all pupils.
Essential Knowledge and Skills
*Experience of working with primary-aged children, preferably in Key Stage 2.
*Knowledge and understanding of speech, language and communication needs.
*Knowledge and experience of supporting phonics development.
*Experience of supporting pupils with SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
*Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience.
*Experience of delivering targeted intervention programmes.
*Previous experience supporting pupils with speech and language needs.
