We are exploring the potential to appoint a Travel and Tourism Lecturer to join our dynamic team at a leading educational institution in Southwest London. This role is available on either a temporary or permanent basis and can be adapted to full-time or part-time hours. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about travel and tourism, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Deliver engaging lectures and seminars on various aspects of travel and tourism, including tourism management, hospitality, and event planning.
*Develop and update course materials, such as syllabi, reading lists, and assessment tools, to ensure they are current and relevant.
*Assess and evaluate students’ progress through assignments, presentations, and exams.
*Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
*Facilitate classroom discussions to enhance learning and encourage student engagement.
*Stay updated with the latest trends and developments in the travel and tourism industry and integrate this knowledge into your teaching.
*Provide academic and career guidance to students, assisting them in achieving their professional goals.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*A degree in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
*Proven experience as a Travel and Tourism Lecturer or in a similar educational role.
*Comprehensive knowledge of the travel and tourism industry and its current trends.
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
*Flexibility to work on a temporary or permanent basis, and to adapt to full-time or part-time schedules.
