Job Description:
Full job descriptionAs Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate running of all warehouse operations.
From goods receiving and stock management to order fulfilment and dispatch, you will ensure every process is completed to the highest standard.
Attention to detail is critical in this role, you will be expected to maintain exceptional levels of stock accuracy, ensure compliance with company procedures and guarantee customer orders are processed correctly and delivered on time.
You will also lead and develop a warehouse team, driving a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities -
*Lead and manage all warehouse operations, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch of goods.
*Maintain outstanding attention to detail across all warehouse activities to ensure stock accuracy and quality standards are consistently achieved.
*Oversee inventory management processes, including goods-in procedures, cycle counts, discrepancy investigations and stock control.
*Ensure customer orders, including domestic and international shipments, are fulfilled accurately, on time and in line with customer requirements.
*Plan and optimise warehouse resources, staffing, and workflows to maximise productivity and service levels.
*Lead, coach, and develop warehouse employees, creating a motivated and high-performing team culture.
*Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures and operational standards.
*Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, accuracy and customer satisfaction.
*Monitor warehouse KPIs and produce operational reports to support business decision-making.
*Work closely with internal departments to support business growth and customer success.
*Manage warehouse equipment and assets, ensuring they remain safe, maintained and operational.
Essential Skills & Experience
*Previous experience as a Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Team Leader.
*Proven experience managing warehouse operations, goods inward, stock control and dispatch functions.
*Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
*Experience maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and operational compliance.
*Strong leadership and people management skills.
*Excellent planning, organisation and workload management abilities.
*Experience managing warehouse KPIs and operational reporting.
*Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
*Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
*Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and accuracy.
*Good IT skills and experience using Warehouse Management Systems.
*Strong commitment to health, safety, quality and customer service.
Desirable
*Forklift Truck Licence.
*Dangerous Goods (IATA) knowledge or certification.
*Experience with international shipping and export documentation.
*Lean Warehousing or Continuous Improvement experience.
*First Aid or Health & Safety qualifications.
*Experience implementing warehouse optimisation and process improvement initiatives
