Are you an experienced Management Accountant who enjoys transforming financial data into meaningful business insight? Do you thrive on partnering with colleagues, influencing key decisions, and helping organisations achieve their strategic objectives?
I’m recruiting for a commercially minded Management Accountant to play a pivotal role in supporting the long-term financial sustainability and success of a well-established organisation.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will work closely with senior leaders and budget holders across the organisation, providing high-quality financial information and analysis to support decision-making at all levels.
Combining strong technical accounting skills with a collaborative business partnering approach, you will help colleagues understand the story behind the numbers whilst supporting a range of strategic initiatives and projects.
Key Responsibilities
*Prepare accurate and timely monthly management accounts.
*Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
*Produce insightful financial analysis and variance reporting.
*Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic decision-making.
*Partner with budget holders and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
*Prepare financial reports, presentations and analysis for senior leadership.
*Support strategic projects and organisational development initiatives.
*Contribute to the continuous improvement of financial systems, controls, processes and reporting.
*Ensure compliance with relevant financial and regulatory requirements.
*Line manage and support the development of the small Finance team.
About You
We’re looking for an individual who combines strong analytical capability with excellent communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. You will ideally be:
*ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or QBE able to demonstrate significant relevant management accounting experience.
*Experienced in preparing management accounts, budgets, forecasts and financial analysis.
*Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced reporting and financial modelling.
*Able to communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
*Comfortable influencing and challenging stakeholders constructively.
*Experienced in managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
*Committed to delivering the highest standards of accuracy, professionalism and integrity.
Desirable Experience
*Sage 200 experience.
*Experience within a complex, multi-stakeholder organisation.
*Experience working within a regulated environment.
