Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Humanities Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school in Kirklees. We are looking for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students across Humanities subjects, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of the world around them.
This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking school environment.
The RoleAs a Humanities Teacher, you will:
*Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons across Humanities subjects, including History, Geography, and Religious Education.
*Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports student achievement.
*Monitor, assess, and track student progress effectively.
*Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
*Promote high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic success.
*Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives.
*Build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
The Ideal CandidateWe are looking for a teacher who:
*Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*Has experience teaching Humanities within a secondary school setting.
*Demonstrates strong classroom management skills.
*Has a passion for their subject and a commitment to delivering high-quality teaching and learning.
*Can motivate and inspire young people to achieve their full potential.
*Works effectively as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.
