Job Description:
Full job descriptionVeritas Education is currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and motivated Unqualified Teacher to work within a secondary school in the Huddersfield area on a full-time, long-term basis starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, cover supervisors, youth workers, or individuals with experience working with young people who are looking to gain valuable classroom experience before progressing into teacher training.
The successful candidate will deliver lessons, manage classrooms effectively, and support students’ learning and development under the guidance of experienced teaching staff and school leaders.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects and year groups
*Maintain a positive and productive learning environment
*Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
*Support students to remain engaged and on task
*Monitor student progress and provide feedback where appropriate
*Build positive relationships with students and staff
*Uphold safeguarding and school procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate
*Holds a degree or relevant qualification (desirable)
*Experience working with young people in education, coaching, mentoring, youth work, or similar settings
*Confident leading a classroom and engaging students
*Strong communication and organisational skills
*Passionate about education and supporting young people
*Aspiring teachers are strongly encouraged to apply
