About the Role
We are recruiting for a Stock Controller to join a busy food manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused individual to take ownership of stock control activities, purchasing administration, and inventory accuracy across the business.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring materials are available when required, stock records remain accurate, and supplier relationships are effectively managed. The role combines office-based administration with hands-on stock management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
*Maintain accurate stock records across multiple storage locations.
*Conduct regular stock counts and inventory checks.
*Process stock movements and update the internal stock management system.
*Monitor inventory levels and ensure sufficient stock availability.
*Purchase packaging and raw materials from approved suppliers.
*Review supplier invoices and resolve any pricing or quantity discrepancies.
*Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries, shortages, quality concerns, and other supply issues.
*Support the sourcing of new ingredients and packaging solutions alongside internal teams.
*Investigate stock variances and implement corrective actions where required.
*Ensure stock is stored safely and in line with company standards.
*Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
*Support internal audits and customer compliance requirements.
*Promote and maintain high health and safety standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
*Previous experience in Stock Control, Inventory Management, Purchasing, or a similar position.
*Experience within a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
*Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
*Good understanding of supply chain and stock management principles.
*Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
*Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective supplier relationships.
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
*A proactive and dependable approach to work.
