Full job descriptionAn established multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their London team and take a lead role on a major commercial fit-out project alongside a number of smaller schemes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager with strong fit-out experience who wants to work across a varied portfolio including commercial offices, cut and carve projects, hotels and tower blocks.
The successful Senior Project Manager will initially take responsibility for a large, high-profile fit-out project while also overseeing several smaller commissions. As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with clients, consultants and contractors, managing projects from inception through to completion. The consultancy is looking for a confident Senior Project Manager who can lead complex projects independently, manage multiple workstreams and provide a high level of client service throughout delivery.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.


The Senior Project Manager’s roleThe Senior Project Manager will lead the delivery of a major commercial fit-out scheme while managing a wider portfolio of projects across sectors including offices, hotels, tower blocks and complex refurbishment works.
Responsibilities will include developing and managing project programmes, leading consultant and contractor teams, chairing client and project meetings, managing risk, overseeing procurement, monitoring progress and ensuring projects are delivered to agreed time, cost and quality objectives.
The Senior Project Manager will also work on cut and carve and refurbishment projects, requiring a strong understanding of technically complex existing buildings and the challenges associated with live and constrained environments.


The Senior Project ManagerThe successful Senior Project Manager will ideally have:
*Significant Project Management experience within a construction consultancy
*Strong commercial fit-out experience
*Experience delivering large and complex projects
*Exposure to cut and carve, refurbishment, hotel or tower block projects
*A relevant degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or a related discipline
*MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or another relevant professional qualification would be advantageous
*Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
*Excellent understanding of procurement, programme, risk and project delivery
*Confidence managing several projects simultaneously and leading multidisciplinary teams
