Full job descriptionAn established multidisciplinary construction consultancy is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their Manchester team and take responsibility for delivering a varied portfolio of projects across Manchester and the wider North West. This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Project Manager who enjoys leading projects independently, managing key client relationships and playing an active role within a growing regional team.
The successful Senior Project Manager will manage projects through the full construction lifecycle, from initial brief and feasibility through design, procurement, construction and completion. As a Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate multidisciplinary teams, manage programme and risk, and act as a trusted point of contact for clients. They are looking for a confident Senior Project Manager who can take ownership of complex commissions while supporting the continued development of their Manchester offering.
You must have prior construction consultancy experience to be considered for this role.


The Senior Project Manager’s roleThe Senior Project Manager will lead the day-to-day delivery of projects across Manchester and the North West, ensuring clear communication between clients, consultants and contractors throughout each stage.
Responsibilities will include preparing project programmes, chairing meetings, coordinating design teams, overseeing procurement, managing project risks and monitoring contractor performance throughout construction.
The Senior Project Manager will also support junior colleagues, contribute to client development and help maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients across the region.


The Senior Project ManagerThe successful Senior Project Manager will ideally have:
*Significant Project Management experience within a construction consultancy
*Proven experience delivering projects from inception through to completion
*Strong knowledge of the Manchester and North West construction market
*Experience leading multidisciplinary consultant and contractor teams
*Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
*A relevant degree in Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying or similar
*MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB or progress towards a relevant professional qualification
*Strong knowledge of procurement, programme management and project risk
*Experience mentoring junior Project Managers would be advantageous
