Full job descriptionPlanet Recruitment are looking for a Skilled Labourer to join our client who’s work is based in Oxfordshire.
Previous experience as a construction labourer, builder’s mate, bricklayer’s labourer, carpenter’s mate or groundworker’s labourer required.
Candidates towards the top of the range will ideally have useful construction experience, be confident using common hand and power tools, hold a driving licence and be able to contribute beyond basic labouring duties.
You will work alongside an experienced General Builder and Working Foreman on residential extensions, refurbishments and structural alteration projects.
Duties
*Assisting experienced builders with general building work
*Preparing work areas, tools and materials
*Loading, unloading and moving building materials
*Mixing mortar and concrete
*Assisting with brickwork and blockwork
*Helping with demolition and strip-out work
*Assisting with groundworks, foundations and drainage
*Supporting structural alterations and steel installations under supervision
*Assisting with timber work, insulation and plaster boarding
*Supporting kitchen, bathroom and carpentry work
*Helping with roofing and external works where appropriate
*Clearing rubble and loading skips
*Keeping sites clean, safe and organised
*Preparing materials and work areas for upcoming tasks
*Collecting materials locally when required
