Our client, leading a significant initiative to decarbonise iron ore operations and harness renewable energy technologies, is seeking an Indirect Procurement Coordinator on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This opportunity allows you to be part of groundbreaking projects that contribute to sustainable and revolutionary advancements globally.
Key Responsibilities:Contract Management*Engage in all end-to-end procurement processes - from identifying potential Suppliers, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, to contract award.
*Support activities in supplier identification, prequalification, and shortlisting.
*Coordinate the implementation of NDA’s and T’s and C’s with suppliers.
*Prepare supplier performance data and work with the supplier quality assurance team on development plans.
*Foster strategic supplier relationships for continuous supply, innovation, and cost optimisation.
*Develop supplier performance measures with relevant teams.
*Identify and evaluate contract formation risks and seek input from other functions as needed.
*Support the preparation of Contract Award Recommendations and on-board suppliers efficiently.
*Assist in contract administration including correspondence, notices, claims assessment, and invoice resolution.
Cost Initiatives*Identify and promote cost reduction efforts to meet financial goals and report against targets monthly.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Relationships*Build and develop interdepartmental relationships to drive overall business improvement.
*Facilitate communication between different departments to ensure alignment.
*Flag emerging risks and issues to relevant stakeholders promptly.
Management Reporting*Provide management reporting on programme performance to ensure proactive procurement activities.
*Flag emerging risks and issues to management promptly.
Systems & Processes
Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports to ensure organisational compliance and provide access to C&P information.
Job Requirements:*Team player with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
*Ability to learn and adopt new ways of working.
*Basic knowledge of contract law, procurement principles, and negotiation techniques.
*Technical and/or commercial education to a degree level; membership of CIPS is advantageous.
*Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and drive multiple packages to successful outcomes.
*Flexible, problem-solving mindset, with a willingness to challenge traditional thinking and operate outside of comfort zones.
*Strong data-driven and visual reporting skills to communicate quantified status and risks.
*High level experience and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
*Excellent prioritising, organisational, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
