Turn Your Training into Meaningful 1:1 Support
We’re looking for PGCE-qualified Tutors to support children and young people across Hampshire through personalised 1:1 tuition.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you’ll provide tailored support to learners of all ages, from primary through to post-16 education. Many students require alternative educational provision due to SEND, anxiety, school avoidance, medical needs, or other barriers to learning.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a PGCE who are looking for flexible work that allows them to use their teaching skills in a more personalised setting while making a genuine difference to vulnerable learners.
*Location: Hampshire
*Age Range: Primary, Secondary & Post-16
*Start Date: September
*Hours: Flexible
*Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
*Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
*PGCE qualification
*Minimum 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, including teaching, tutoring, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
*Ability to deliver engaging and personalised learning sessions
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
*Patient, adaptable, and learner-focused approach
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
*Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire

*Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
*Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
*ADHD
*Anxiety and school avoidance
*EHCPs and additional educational needs
*Gaps in education due to periods out of school
Each learner requires a personalised approach, allowing you to use your teaching skills to build confidence, encourage engagement, and support progress.
