Description
*Manage bookkeeping and accounting records for a varied portfolio of clients
*Process financial transactions and maintain accurate accounting records
*Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts and control accounts
*Match purchase orders to invoices and process payments
*Prepare and submit VAT returns
*Maintain and manage cloud-based accounting systems
*Support month-end and year-end processes
*Monitor online bank feeds and financial data integration
*Liaise directly with clients to resolve accounting and bookkeeping queries
*Work closely with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate client delivery
*Support clients in adopting efficient digital accounting processes
Profile
*Minimum of 2 years’ bookkeeping experience gained within practice or industry
*Strong working knowledge of bookkeeping principles and VAT
*Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and similar platforms
*Experience with digital bookkeeping tools and automation software
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Excellent organisational and time management skills
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
*Strong communication and client relationship skills
*Proactive and solutions-focused approach
*Experience with Dext or similar software would be advantageous
