The Role*Deliver engaging, creative, and purposeful lessons across the Year 5 curriculum.
*Plan, prepare, and assess learning to meet the needs of all pupils.
*Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
*Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
*Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and raise attainment.
*Maintain high expectations for behaviour, learning, and presentation.
*Differentiate and adapt learning to ensure all pupils can access and enjoy the curriculum.
*Develop pupils’ confidence, independence, resilience, and enthusiasm for learning.
*Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and parents to support positive pupil outcomes.
*Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate*Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
*Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 5, is desirable but not essential.
*Strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
*Excellent classroom management, communication, and organisational skills.
*A passion for helping children achieve their best academically and personally.
*Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
*A reflective, adaptable, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.
*ECTs are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive a comprehensive induction and mentoring programme.
