As a Management Accountant, you will assist with the financial management and reporting of all trading entities within the group, helping maintain robust financial controls, statutory compliance, and accurate financial reporting to support decision-making.
Key Responsibilites:
*Prepare and process accounting journals including (Accruals, Prepayments, Intercompany, transactions, Expenses, WIP, Payroll)
*Own the month-end close process and prepare Management Accounts for group trading entities.
*Prepare variance analysis, cashflow forecasts, and support balance sheet consolidation.
*Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and resolve reconciling items.
*Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor daily cash positions.
*Support statutory reporting and year-end accounts preparation, liaising with external auditors.
*Prepare and submit CIS Returns, VAT Returns, Pension Returns, PAYE & Pension Payments, P11D and PSA submissions, ensuring compliance with UK tax regulations.
*Contribute to the maintenance and improvement of financial controls, processes, and reporting frameworks.
*Serve as a role model within the finance team and contribute to a positive and productive working environment.
Person Sepcification
Essential Professional Qualities:
*Final exam or fully qualified in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
*Strong technical accounting knowledge.
*Experience with statutory reporting.
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
*Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
*Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Advanced Excel skills such as data analysis, pivot tables, financial modelling
*Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred.
