Full job descriptionOur client, a Greater Manchester council is seeking a Children’s Team Manager to join their LAC Team

Responsibilities of this role:
*Provide leadership, supervision and performance management to social workers and support staff within the Looked After Children (LAC) team.
*Oversee care planning and permanency arrangements to ensure children achieve safe, stable and positive outcomes.
*Ensure statutory duties, assessments, reviews and visits are completed within required timescales and legislative frameworks.
*Manage risk and safeguard looked after children, ensuring effective multi-agency working and decision-making.
*Monitor and improve practice quality through case audits, reflective supervision and performance oversight.
*Lead on complex case management, including court proceedings, placement stability and transition planning.
*Promote the voice of the child, ensuring children and young people are actively involved in decisions affecting their lives.
Requirements of this role:
*Must be a Qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.
*Must have minimum of 3 year’s experience working as a Qualified social worker
