Reed Education is excited to be working in partnership with an amazing SEND School in Newbury, to recruit a dedicated and compassionate Learning Mentor to support secondary-aged students on a full-time basis.

This is a specialist provision supporting students with a range of additional needs, including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. The Role
As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside of the classroom. You will help build positive relationships, encourage engagement with learning, and provide emotional and behavioural support where required.
Responsibilities
*Supporting secondary-aged students throughout the school day
*Building trusted relationships with pupils
*Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
*Working alongside teachers and support staff to remove barriers to learning
*Encouraging student participation and engagement
*Providing one-to-one and small group support
*Acting as a positive role model for young people
*Supporting students’ social, emotional and academic development
Ideal Candidate
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
*Experience working with children or young people
*A background in education, youth work, care, mentoring, coaching, support work or SEND settings
*Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
*A calm, patient and resilient approach
*A genuine passion for helping vulnerable young people succeed
*The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
