Our client is currently going through a number of acquisitions and is looking to centralise their procurement function, they are based in Derby and are looking to grow this team out. The business is a medium sized organisation which are going through an exciting time of growth and expansion.
Description
What the Successful Category Manager can expect to do:
*Own all Categories in Indirect Procurement.
*Manage supplier relationships, ensuring high performance and compliance.
*Analyse market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and innovation.
*Negotiate contracts and agreements to achieve favourable terms.
*Collaborate with stakeholders to align procurement goals with business objectives.
*Monitor and report on category performance and compliance metrics.
*Ensure adherence to procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
*Provide insights and recommendations to improve procurement practices.
Profile
A successful Category Manager should have:
*Proven experience in procurement and supply chain management.
*Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
*Knowledge of category management principles and strategies.
*Ability to analyse data and market trends effectively.
*Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
*Understanding of procurement regulations and compliance requirements.
