We’re recruiting Children’s Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to children and young people across Warrington. In this rewarding role, you’ll help young people overcome challenges, build independence, access their communities, and achieve goals that make a real difference to their lives.
The Role
As a Children’s Support Worker, you will provide tailored support through regular 4-6 hour shifts, helping children and young people engage with their local communities, develop life skills, and work towards personal goals.
Key responsibilities include:
*Providing person-centred support tailored to individual needs and aspirations
*Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
*Promoting wellbeing, social inclusion, and positive outcomes
*Supporting access to community activities, appointments, and local services
*Building positive and professional relationships with children, young people, and their families
*Following support plans and agreed goals
*Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
*Ensuring safeguarding procedures and care standards are maintained at all times
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
*A minimum of 6 months’ experience in care, support work or a similar setting
*Experience supporting children and young people
*A strong understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
*The ability to work independently and as part of a team
*A DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
*The right to work in the UK
