The Role
As a Children’s Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young people to develop essential life skills, access their communities, and achieve their personal goals.
Key responsibilities include:
*Providing tailored support based on individual needs and support plans
*Encouraging independence, confidence, and personal development
*Promoting wellbeing, social inclusion, and positive experiences
*Supporting access to community activities, appointments, and local services
*Building positive and professional relationships with children and their families
*Monitoring wellbeing and reporting any concerns appropriately
*Following safeguarding procedures and maintaining high standards of care
What We’re Looking For
To be successful in this role, you’ll have:
*A minimum of 6 months’ experience in a care or support role
*Experience supporting children and young people
*A good understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*A caring, patient, and empathetic approach
*The ability to work independently and as part of a team
*A DBS on the Update Service or a willingness to obtain one
*The right to work in the UK
