The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join a highly respected public sector organisation. Working within an established procurement function, you will play a key role in delivering compliant, value-driven procurement solutions across a diverse range of service categories.
This position offers the opportunity to manage end-to-end procurement activity, from initial market engagement and tender development through to contract award, supplier management and contract renewal. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, providing expert procurement advice and ensuring compliance with public sector procurement regulations.
Key Responsibilities
*Lead and manage the full procurement lifecycle for a range of service-based contracts.
*Deliver sourcing activities including market engagement, tender preparation, supplier negotiations and contract award.
*Conduct commercial evaluations of supplier bids, assessing pricing, risk, contractual terms and overall value.
*Ensure procurement activity complies with the Procurement Act 2023, PCR 2015 where applicable, and internal governance requirements.
*Utilise public sector procurement frameworks and routes to market where appropriate.
*Support contract implementation, supplier performance management, renewals and change control activities.
*Provide procurement advice, guidance and best practice recommendations to stakeholders across the organisation.
*Review and negotiate contractual terms and conditions.
About You
*MCIPS qualified or currently studying towards MCIPS (minimum Level 4).
*Experience within a public sector procurement environment.
*A strong track record of delivering competitive tendering exercises and commercial evaluations.
*Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and framework agreements.
*Experience managing suppliers, contracts, service levels and performance measures.
*Strong contract review and negotiation skills.
*Excellent communication, stakeholder management and organisational abilities.
*Due to the nature of the role, successful applicants will be required to satisfy security clearance requirements.
