*Location: Blackpool Primary School
*Working Hours: 08:30am - 15:30pm
*Start Date: Monday 7th September
*Contract: Temporary (Christmas at least)
*Salary: £14.63 per hour
We are seeking a caring, patient, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 6 pupil with developmental delays at a Blackpool Primary School. This role is crucial in helping the pupil access the curriculum and participate fully in school life.
Day-to-day of the role:
*Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a Year 6 pupil, focusing on their academic, social, and emotional development.
*Adapt and differentiate classroom activities to meet the pupil’s learning needs and abilities.
*Work closely with the class teacher and SEND team to ensure the pupil can engage meaningfully in lessons.
*Foster the pupil’s confidence, independence, and engagement in learning.
*Monitor and record the pupil’s progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as necessary.
*Support the pupil’s social and emotional wellbeing throughout the school day.
*Promote a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
*Experience working with children with additional learning needs or SEND.
*A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
*Ability to adapt learning resources and activities to suit individual needs.
*Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis is highly desirable.
*A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
