Reed Practice is delighted to be partnering once again with a highly respected independent accountancy firm in Suffolk to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant or Client Manager to join them at this exciting time, with a view to progress to a senior leadership position. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious practice professional seeking a genuine progression route.
Due to continued growth and increasing demand of their services, combined with the owner’s retirement plans, this is an exceptional prospect for an experienced and commercially minded individual to join the business and become a key part of its future leadership team.
This role will initially remain hands-on, providing accounting and tax compliance and advisory services to a broad portfolio of clients while allowing you to build the knowledge, relationships, and influence required for your future progression within the firm.
Key Responsibilities
*Managing a diverse portfolio of clients, building trusted and long-term relationships.
*Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders, and partnerships, including associated business tax compliance work.
*Working across FRS 102 and FRS 105 reporting frameworks.
*Preparing and reviewing VAT returns and self-assessment tax returns.
*Providing insightful financial analysis and practical commercial advice to clients.
*Supporting on more complex assignments and advisory projects as required.
*Managing workflow and job budgets, ensuring assignments are delivered efficiently and within agreed timescales.
*Maintaining the firm’s high technical and quality standards whilst delivering exceptional client service.
*Mentoring and supporting colleagues, helping to foster a collaborative and positive working environment.

About you; the experience and profile expected for this crucial post is:
*ACA or ACCA qualified.
*An experienced practice accountant operating at Senior Accountant, Client Manager, or Practice Manager level.
*Technically strong across accounts preparation, tax compliance, and client management.
*Commercially minded with excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
*Motivated by the prospect of taking on greater responsibility and contributing to the strategic future of a practice.
