£16.35 per hour

Hours: 8:45am - 3:30pm
HLTA Required for Primary School in Leyland
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and adaptable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in the Leyland area. This is a full-time position starting ASAP and continuing for the remainder of the academic year.
This varied role offers the opportunity to support pupils across Key Stage 2 while taking on classroom teaching responsibilities as part of a supportive school team.
The Role
*Morning sessions: Providing Teaching Assistant support within a Year 6 classroom, assisting pupils with learning, interventions and classroom activities.
*Afternoon sessions: Delivering planned lessons and providing class cover across various KS2 classes in a HLTA capacity.
*Supporting pupil progress and engagement in line with school expectations.
*Working closely with teachers and senior leaders to ensure high standards of learning and behaviour.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
*Holds a recognised HLTA qualification or has equivalent experience.
*Has recent experience working within a primary school setting.
*Is confident supporting pupils in Year 6 and delivering lessons across Key Stage 2.
*Possesses strong classroom management skills.
*Is flexible, reliable and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
*Has a good understanding of the primary curriculum.
