Reed Education is recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive junior school in Gloucester for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to support a pupil within a Year 5 class, helping them to achieve their full potential both academically and personally. The successful candidate will have previous experience supporting children with ADHD and be passionate about making a positive difference in education.
The Role
*Provide targeted support within a Year 5 classroom.
*Implement strategies to support a pupil with ADHD.
*Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil.
*Encourage engagement, independence, and confidence in learning.
*Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
*Support the wider classroom environment where required.
The Ideal Candidate
*Has experience working as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, or in a similar role.
*Has previous experience supporting children with ADHD and additional learning needs.
*Is patient, empathetic, and adaptable.
*Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
*Holds a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
