Description
*Oversee financial assurance processes to maintain compliance with organisational policies.
*Review and improve internal controls to ensure strong financial governance.
*Conduct compliance audits and report findings to relevant stakeholders.
*Ensure adherence to financial regulations and standards in the not-for-profit sector.
*Provide guidance and training to staff on compliance and financial procedures.
*Prepare detailed reports on financial assurance and compliance activities.
*Collaborate with various departments to address compliance concerns.
*Support the implementation of new financial policies and practices.
Profile
*A recognised professional accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA or CIMA, or equivalent relevant experience.
*Significant experience in financial assurance, governance, enterprise risk, internal controls, compliance or audit.
*Practical knowledge of financial control frameworks and assurance methodologies.
*Strong counter-fraud experience, including fraud risk assessments and the prevention, detection and response to suspected fraud.
*Experience supporting or conducting fraud investigations.
*Sound professional judgement when dealing with confidential, complex or sensitive matters.
*The ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
*Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
*The ability to identify patterns, systemic weaknesses and opportunities for sustainable improvement.
*Excellent communication and relationship-management skills.
*Experience leading, coaching and developing a team.
*The ability to manage multiple priorities and lead change across a complex organisation.
Job Offer
*Daily rate of £400 to £450, dependent on the level of experience.
