Location: Sherbourne Road, Brighton, Sussex
Salary: £14.00 per hour
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, shift pattern 8am–8pm (day shifts) & 8pm–8am (waking nights)

About the Role
We are seeking a confident and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our Supported Living team in Brighton. This role focuses on providing trauma-informed, person-centred support to adults with complex mental health needs, autism, ADHD, and associated challenging behaviours.
You’ll work full-time, supporting individuals to develop life skills, independence, and confidence in a structured, safe environment. Day shifts are available, and experience in complex mental health care is essential. A driving licence is highly desirable to enable community access, appointments, and activities.
Key Responsibilities
*Deliver consistent 1:1 support within a supported living environment.
*Assist with personal care, daily routines, meal preparation, and independent living skills.
*Apply trauma-informed care and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approaches to support complex mental health needs and manage challenging behaviours.
*Encourage participation in social, leisure, and community activities.
*Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with families, professionals, and the wider team.
About You
Essential:
*Minimum 1–2 years’ experience supporting people with complex mental health needs, autism, ADHD, or related conditions.
*Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice and PBS.
*Experience in complex care, including supporting adults with EUPD or similar presentations.
*Excellent communication skills, emotional resilience, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
*Right to work in the UK and Enhanced Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable:
*Driving licence and ability to use own or company vehicle.
*NVQ Level 2/3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards).
*Training in Safeguarding, First Aid, or PMVA/MAPA.
*Experience in supported living or community-based care.
