Michael Page are actively working with a long standing client who are searching for an Accounts Payable Manager to join their team in Thirsk (North Yorkshire) on a permanent basis. My client is looking for a proactive individual that is driven by developing people and has a passion for continuous improvement and transformation. This is an exciting opportunity for a Transactional Finance Manager, Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger Manager who is excited by automation and process improvement and wants to make a real change in their next organisation. Description
*Identify and Lead on any opportunity for process improvement, automation or system improvement projects!
*Manage the accounts payable team to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
*Oversee supplier account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies or queries.
*Implement and maintain strong controls to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
*Monitor cash flow to ensure efficient management of payment terms and working capital.
*Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
*Prepare regular reports on accounts payable performance and key metrics.
*Support the team with training and development to enhance their skillsets.
*Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
Profile
A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:
*Has held relevant experience in a similar Accounts Payable Manager, Purchase Ledger Manager, Transactional Finance Manager or Finance Operations Manager role
*Passion for continuous improvement and transformation.
*Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems.
*Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
*Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with suppliers and internal teams.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
*Ability to manage a team effectively and foster a supportive working environment.
Job Offer
*Generous salary ranging £45,000-£50,000
*Hybrid working - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home
