Help Young Learners Build Confidence and Thrive
We’re looking for a KS1 & KS2 Tutor to support primary-aged children across Hampshire through personalised 1:1 tuition.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you’ll provide tailored support to learners who require alternative educational provision or additional help to access learning. Many pupils benefit from a patient, nurturing approach that helps develop core skills, increase confidence, and encourage positive engagement with education.
This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with young learners and make a lasting impact during an important stage of their educational journey.
*Location: Hampshire
*Key Stages: KS1 & KS2
*Start Date: September
*Hours: Flexible
*Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
*Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
*Minimum 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, learning support, mentoring, or similar roles
*Experience supporting primary-aged children
*Good understanding of the KS1 and KS2 curriculum
*SEN experience desirable
*Ability to deliver engaging and personalised sessions
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Patient, positive, and adaptable approach
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
*Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across Hampshire
Who You’ll Support
You’ll work with children who may have a range of additional needs, including:
*Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
*Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
*ADHD
*Anxiety and school avoidance
*Speech, language, and communication needs
*EHCPs and additional educational needs
Every learner is unique, so tutors should be comfortable adapting their approach to suit individual strengths, interests, and learning styles.
