Help Young People Re-Engage with Learning
We’re looking for a KS3 Tutor to support children and young people across the BCP area through personalised 1:1 tuition.
Working on behalf of Local Authorities, you’ll provide tailored educational support to learners in Key Stage 3 who require alternative provision. Many of the students we support have experienced barriers to education and benefit from a flexible, supportive approach that helps build confidence, improve engagement, and encourage academic progress.
This is a fantastic opportunity for education professionals who enjoy working closely with learners and adapting their approach to meet individual needs.
*Location: BCP
*Key Stage: KS3
*Start Date: September
*Hours: Flexible
*Pay Rate: £25-£30 per hour
*Type: 1:1 Tuition
Requirements
*Minimum 6 months’ experience in an educational setting, including tutoring, teaching, teaching assistant, mentoring, learning support, or similar roles
*Experience supporting secondary-aged learners
*Strong knowledge of the KS3 curriculum
*Ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised sessions
*Experience supporting learners with SEND, EHCPs, or additional needs is desirable
*Strong communication and relationship-building skills
*Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach
*Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
*Driver preferred; alternatively, willingness to travel locally across the BCP area

*Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
*ADHD
*Anxiety and school avoidance
*EHCPs and additional educational needs
