Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 per annum including performance bonuses linked to achieving a "Good" or "Outstanding" Ofsted judgement and maintaining full occupancy.
Hours: 40 hours per week + On-Call

Salary band of £70,000 - £85,000 per
The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for establishing, leading and developing a therapeutic residential children’s home that consistently delivers exceptional care and outcomes.
You will inspire and develop your team, create a positive and nurturing culture, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion the voice and wellbeing of every child living within the home.
You will be accountable for delivering outstanding practice, achieving excellent Ofsted outcomes, building strong partnerships with professionals and families, and ensuring the home operates safely, effectively and in line with all legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
You will:
*Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the children’s home in accordance with Ofsted regulations, Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
*Shape, implement and continuously develop the home’s Statement of Purpose.
*Develop a service improvement plan focused on outstanding care, therapeutic practice and positive outcomes.
*Build, inspire and lead a high-performing team through effective recruitment, supervision, coaching and performance management.
*Create a positive culture centred around safeguarding, compassion, accountability and continuous improvement.
*Ensure every child receives personalised care that promotes emotional wellbeing, independence and positive life outcomes.
*Maintain the highest standards of safeguarding, risk management and clinical practice.
*Work collaboratively with local authorities, commissioners, education providers, healthcare professionals and families.
*Lead reviews, professionals’ meetings and multidisciplinary discussions.
*Monitor quality, compliance and performance, ensuring all documentation is inspection-ready.
*Manage budgets effectively and ensure efficient use of resources.
*Oversee staffing levels and rota management to ensure children receive consistent, high-quality support.
*Maintain a safe, welcoming and well-presented environment.
*Participate in the on-call rota.
*Contribute to the wider development and growth of Unify Care as the organisation expands.
We are looking for someone who combines exceptional leadership with genuine compassion.
You will be an experienced Registered Manager or an accomplished Deputy Manager ready to step into registration, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality residential childcare services.
It is essential that you will have significant senior leadership experience within a Children’s Residential Home. Thorough knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations, Quality Standards and Ofsted requirements. A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent), or willingness to complete. Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills. Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience. Experience of managing teams, budgets, recruitment and performance and a passion for improving outcomes for children and young people.
It would be desirable if you hold a Registered Manager’s Award or Relevant Degree or Nursing Qualification. Experience achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted inspections or experience supporting service development or opening new services.
