Full job descriptionAre you an experienced Building surveying professional with a passion for delivering excellent customer service, and achieving high-quality results? If so, I’d love to hear from you.
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Building Surveyor to join a leading Property Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering an efficient, customer-focused capital works service across their schemes.
You will be based at home, with frequent travel across North Lancashire and Yorkshire
As the Building Surveyor , if you have a strong track record of working independently in supporting the technical service function, providing effective capital investment, cyclical, fire safety and statutory maintenance services, I want to speak to you!

Building Surveyor duties:
*Provide professional surveying and technical support, contributing to the smooth and efficient delivery of the Asset Management strategy.
*Work independently in supporting the technical service function which provides effective capital investment, cyclical, fire safety and statutory maintenance services, to time and budget, in line with legislation, policy, capital programme and strategic objectives.
*Manage and visit schemes across the patch.
To succeed as the Building Surveyor, you need:
*Degree in a construction related discipline or relevant experience
*Significant demonstrable experience in a surveying role in a housing association, private practice, local authority, or similar.
*Full contract administration responsibilities of a range of technical and complex major works projects; including preparing tender documentation, cost analysis and budgetary control, site management, supervising contractors, quality control and certification
*Robust understanding of current health and safety legislation, CDM (including Principal Designer experience) and comprehensive knowledge of other building related statutory obligations
*Robust knowledge and experience of Building Safety and Compliance good practice and statutory requirements
