Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are recruiting on behalf of a well-established housing organisation in Dudley for Housing Support Officer to work within a supported housing unit for young adults and care leavers.
This is a rewarding opportunity for someone experienced in providing practical and emotional housing-related support, helping young people develop independence and stability.
Key Responsibilities of a Housing Support Officer:*Providing 1:1 housing support to young adults and care leavers
*Supporting residents to maintain tenancies and develop independent living skills
*Creating, reviewing and updating support plans
*Offering guidance around welfare benefits and housing benefits
*Signposting to relevant services and agencies
*Maintaining accurate records and case notes
*Working in line with safeguarding and organisational policies
What We’d Love To See From You:
*Previous experience providing housing support or similar support work
*Strong understanding of support planning and tenancy sustainment
*Knowledge of welfare benefits and housing-related support
*Ability to build positive, professional relationships with young people
*Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
What’s on Offer for this Housing Support Officer role:*Competitive pay rate of £18 per hour
*Daytime hours: 9am – 4pm
*Initial temporary role open for extension
*Opportunity to make a real difference to young people transitioning to independent living
