Full job descriptionDevelopment Control Engineer needed in North London Paying £22.79 per hr ref OR114195
Full time hours on a temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities
Development Management*Assess planning applications and associated transport documentation, including Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans, and Road Safety Audits.
*Provide professional highway and transportation advice on planning applications and development proposals.
*Review development layouts to ensure compliance with relevant design standards, policies, and guidance.
*Negotiate amendments to development proposals to achieve acceptable highway and transportation outcomes.
*Recommend planning conditions, obligations, and mitigation measures where required.
Highway Design and Technical Assessment*Evaluate the impact of developments on the existing highway network.
*Assess highway design submissions, junction layouts, access proposals, parking provision, and sustainable transport measures.
*Review drainage, street lighting, traffic management, and highway infrastructure proposals.
*Ensure designs comply with national and local standards, including relevant highway specifications and design guides.
*Identify and recommend appropriate highway improvements associated with new developments.
