IntroductionAcorn by Synergie is recruiting a Furniture Assembly Operative to join a well-established mobility furniture company in Newton Abbot.

As a Furniture Assembly Operative, you will be responsible for assembling, checking and finishing metal and upholstered furniture using a range of hand and power tools.
What We Offer*£12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.45 per hour after 12 weeks.
*Monday-Thursday: 7:30am-4:30pm.
*Friday: 7:30am-1:15pm.
*Temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
*On-site parking.

Key Duties*Read and follow job sheets, assembly instructions and build diagrams.
*Safely use cordless drills, screwdrivers, mallets and other hand and power tools.
*Inspect finished products for quality, defects and correct assembly.
*Ensure products meet the required quality standards.
*Maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment.
*Follow all company health and safety procedures.
Requirements*Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
*Ability to follow safety procedures and assembly instructions.
*Good attention to detail.
*Practical problem-solving skills, particularly when parts do not align correctly.
*Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
*Good basic communication skills.
*Previous furniture assembly or manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
