Full job descriptionWe are recruiting for an experienced Procurement Manager to join a growing engineering business in Wetherby.
This is a hands-on role with plenty of opportunity to make improvements, reduce costs and take ownership of the procurement and supply chain function. The business has recently been acquired by a larger group and is continuing to grow, making this an exciting time to join.
The Role
*Manage and lead the procurement team
*Take overall ownership of procurement and supply chain
*Manage and negotiate with suppliers
*Identify cost-saving opportunities
*Improve purchasing and stock management processes
*Monitor supplier performance across cost, quality and service
*Work closely with internal teams to improve purchasing efficiency
About You
You’ll need a strong technical procurement background, ideally within engineering, manufacturing or a similar technical environment.
We’re looking for someone who is:
*Experienced at Procurement Manager, Senior Buyer or similar level
*Confident managing suppliers and negotiating
*Experienced in leading a procurement team
*Commercially minded with a focus on cost saving
*Proactive and confident introducing change
*Comfortable taking ownership and getting stuck in
*A strong communicator and relationship builder
*A full UK driving licence and own transport
