We are an 11-18 academy with a thriving Sixth Form and a lovely building. It is a school where we are as passionate about developing our staff as we are about developing our students.
Our location just outside the M25 means we attract staff not only from Essex but from London. Indeed, over half our staff live in Kent/Surrey/South East and Central London. Some of our team even travel from West London because they like the school so much.

SummaryWe are currently looking to appoint part-time cleaners to join our dedicated maintenance and premises team at Harris Academy Ockendon.
The actual salary for this role will be £7,091-£8,900 (42 weeks per year, 10 or 12.5 hours per week).

Main Areas of ResponsibilityYour responsibilities will include:
*Cleaning of parts of the academy as allocated, including classrooms, offices, corridors, stairs and toilets
*Vacuuming, wiping, dusting and mopping
*Cleaning toilets, basins, tiling, glass areas
*Emptying bins in allocated area
*Disposing of waste as instructed
*Machine cleaning as appropriate
*Safe storage and use of materials
*To comply with Health & Safety regulations and guidelines, and undergo training as required
*To report issues and Health & Safety issues to manager
*To check closed windows doors and turn off lights
Qualifications & ExperienceWe would like to hear from you if you have:

*Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions
*Good time management skills
*Reliability and punctuality
*Good organisation skills and levels of self-motivation
*Ability to take initiative and work without supervision
