Gillespie Recruitment is working with a specialist care provider to recruit Supported Living Practitioners for an exciting new service in the Spennymoor area.
This is a unique opportunity to join a brand-new support team helping an individual with autism and learning disabilities transition into their own home and build a fulfilling, independent life. You’ll become part of a dedicated team where person-centred support, compassion, and positive outcomes are at the heart of everything you do.
Whether you’re an experienced Support Worker, Care Assistant, Autism Support Worker, Learning Disability Support Worker, or Supported Living Practitioner, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing*Providing high-quality, person-centred support
*Promoting independence, choice, and wellbeing
*Supporting daily living skills and routines
*Encouraging community participation and social inclusion
*Building positive relationships and trust
*Supporting individuals to achieve their personal goals
*Working collaboratively with colleagues, families, and professionals
*Maintaining accurate records and reports
What We’re Looking For*Experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
*A caring, resilient, and proactive approach
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
*The ability to remain calm and confident in challenging situations
*A genuine passion for making a difference
*Drivers are highly desirable, although not essential
Shifts Available*Day Shifts: 8am to 8pm
*Long Day Shifts: 8am to 10pm
*Sleep-In Shifts
*Waking Night Shifts: 8pm to 8am
What’s On Offer?*£13.50 per hour
*Full-time 40-hour contract
