Full job descriptionWe are recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a unique and diverse business based in a beautiful location just outside Thirsk.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and would like to work in a more interesting environment than a typical accounts office.
The role is based on-site in a rural location, so a driving licence and access to your own transport are essential. There is some flexibility around start and finish times.
Responsibilities:
*Processing multiple purchase and sales ledgers
*Preparing and processing payment runs
*Resolving invoice and supplier queries
*Completing bank and credit card reconciliations
*Preparing VAT returns
*Processing payroll
*Assisting with weekly cash flow preparation
*Supporting the wider finance function as required
About You:
We are looking for someone who is proactive, organised and comfortable managing a varied workload.
You will ideally have:
*Previous experience within a varied accounts role
*Sage 50 experience
*Good working knowledge of Excel
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*The ability to organise and prioritise your own workload
*A high level of discretion and confidentiality
Multi-entity accounts experience would be beneficial, although it is not essential.
This position would particularly suit someone who is country or rural-minded, lives within a reasonable commute of Thirsk and would enjoy working within a close-knit environment in an incredible countryside setting.
