Full job descriptionLocation: Cardiff – hybrid working (3 days office-based, 2 days from home)
Pay: £14.50 to £16.50 per hour
Contract: Temporary, initially 2–3 months, with the potential to become permanent
Hours: Full-time, standard office hours

We are recruiting on behalf of an established and values-led organisation for a highly organised Compliance Co-ordinator to support its employee onboarding, recruitment and workforce compliance processes.

Working closely with the People, Talent Acquisition and operational teams, you will help ensure that all pre-employment checks and employee records are completed accurately, efficiently and in line with safeguarding, regulatory and organisational requirements.

Full training will be provided.

Key responsibilities*Managing pre-employment checks, including DBS, right-to-work, references and qualification verification


*Supporting employee onboarding and recruitment administration


*Monitoring compliance expiry dates and coordinating renewals


*Maintaining accurate, confidential and audit-ready employee records


*Updating HR systems, compliance trackers, reports and dashboards


*Ensuring documentation is stored securely and in accordance with GDPR


*Supporting audits, inspections and regulatory reviews


*Escalating compliance concerns and risks appropriately


*Working with operational leaders and the wider People team to maintain consistent compliance standards


*Identifying opportunities to improve processes, reporting and the candidate experience


*Supporting the onboarding of new team members


About you You will be an excellent administrator with a methodical approach and exceptional attention to detail. You should be comfortable managing competing priorities and working with confidential information.

Ideally, you will have:

*Experience in compliance, HR administration or recruitment administration


*Strong organisational and prioritisation skills


*A high level of accuracy and attention to detail


*Experience using HR, recruitment or compliance systems


*An understanding of safer recruitment and employment compliance requirements


*Confidence working with confidential employee data


*A proactive, reliable and solutions-focused approach


*Strong communication and customer service skills


A relevant administration or HR qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Some operational travel may be required, so flexibility to support the wider needs of the business is important.
