Full job descriptionPremier Work Support are working with a freight forwarding specialist for the recruitment of a permanent Export & Cross Trade Operator.
As the Export and Cross Trade Operator you will have proven experience of EXPORT Multi Modal & Cross Trade operations within a freight forwarding environment as you will be working within a busy export department

Your responsibilities will include:
*Daily management of all Export Bookings
*Assisting with sales leads that come into the department, also discuss and develop business for new and existing customers of the Export & Cross trade department and Company as a whole
*Working with the Branch manager and colleagues to maximise the profits for both the Export department and Company as a whole
*Overseeing and coordination of the multi-modal export shipments, ensuring timely delivery across all transportation modes including sea, air and road.
*Negotiating rates and terms with logistics providers to optimise cost-efficiency while maintaining high service standards.
*Supporting sales teams in B2B sales initiatives by providing accurate data entry, shipment updates, and logistical support.
*Assisting in the development of supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
*Maintain detailed records of export transactions, shipment statuses, and compliance documentation for audit purposes.
Key skills required for this role:
*Proven experience in EXPORT Multi Modal & Cross Trade operations within a freight forwarding environment is essential
*Strong understanding of operational workflows, including trailer arrivals, inbound planning, documentation flow, and stakeholder coordination.
*Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
*High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy, compliance, and documentation integrity
*Working knowledge of customs procedures, tariff classifications, and duty/VAT principles.
*Experience liaising with overseas agents and coordinating international shipments
Hours are Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.30pm
