Full job descriptionOur client is seeking a Legal Counsel, to join their growing in house legal function. you’ll provide expert legal advice and support to ensure smooth operations within the energy and natural resources industry. Your role will focus on handling legal matters, advising stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Description
*Provide commercially focused legal support across construction, procurement, subcontracting, supplier arrangements and project delivery activities.
*Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including JCT contracts, installation frameworks, supplier agreements, subcontract terms and customer contracts.
*Provide legal guidance on supply chain arrangements, covering warranties, liabilities, service levels, indemnities, insurance and quality standards.
*Manage external legal advisers where specialist support is required, ensuring cost-effective and value-driven outcomes.
*Develop a thorough understanding of business operations to deliver clear, commercially sound legal recommendations.
*Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels, using strong communication and influencing skills.
Profile
A successful Legal Counsel should have:
*UK Qualified with a minimum of 2 years PQE
*Experience in handling legal matters within the energy and natural resources sector.
*Strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory compliance.
*Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
*Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
*A proactive approach to problem-solving.
Job Offer
*A salary of £70,000 to £85,000 dependent on the level of experience.
*Permanent contract
*Hybrid working
*Based in the southwest
