Full job descriptionHousing Disrepair Solicitor
I’m working with a practice that is looking to appoint an experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor to join their busy litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone confident managing a high-volume caseload and keen to progress claims efficiently from instruction through to settlement.
The RoleYou’ll be responsible for a varied caseload of Housing Disrepair matters, including:
*Managing a high-volume caseload and working at pace to meet competing deadlines.
*Applying strong knowledge of the CPR, Housing Conditions Pre-Action Protocol, and relevant housing legislation.
*Reviewing cases for issues, issuing proceedings, assessing Defences and drafting Replies.
*Preparing cases for allocation, directions, PTRs and trial.
*Reviewing expert reports (Claimant & Defendant) and draftingPart 35 questions.
*Negotiating and achieving effective settlements.
*Maintaining accurate case records using case management systems.
*Providing excellent client care and clear communication throughout each matter.
*Taking a commercial, pragmatic approach to litigation with a focus on progressing and resolving claims efficiently.
Candidate ProfileYou will bring:
*Strong legal drafting, analytical and organisational skills.
