Overview:
A global leader in advanced communications technology requires a Mechanical Engineer for a 3-month contract to drive a key project from detailed design into prototype build, testing, and evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
*Finalize mechanical designs, engineering drawings, BOMs, and data packs.
*Provide hands-on support during prototype assembly, troubleshooting, and part modifications.
*Write test plans/schedules and support thermal, vibration, and environmental qualification activities.
*Process engineering changes and maintain CAD/PDM documentation.
Requirements:
*Proven experience writing test schedules and supporting prototype integration/builds.
*Strong skills in engineering drawings, BOM management, PDM systems, and change control.
*Hands-on workshop/assembly capability and solid DfM/DfA understanding.
*Industry background in aerospace, defence, RF, satellite, or electronics is highly desirable.
*Must be eligible for UK BPSS security clearance (no VISA sponsorship available).
