Job Description:
Full job descriptionI’m currently recruiting for a Legal Cashier to join a well established Law firm based in Newbury, you will be working as part of the cashiering function, the ideal candidate will have legal accounting experience with an understanding of compliance and regulatory accounting rules.
Daily duties
*Analysing and processing client invoices and credit notes
*Management of residual client balances
*Processing card payments
*Daily banking and cheque distribution
*Verifying and processing bank payments
*Processing bank credits
*Reconciliation of daily credit sheets
*Reconciliation of bank statements and cash books
*Dealing with incoming Finance post and emails
*Assisting with purchase ledger transactions
*General support to the Finance team
*Checking, approving and sending conveyancing completion
Skills and qualifications
*Experience within a Finance environment or Finance/Accountancy graduate
*Excellent numeracy skills and MS Excel knowledge
*Good attention to detail
*Time management skills
*Ability to communicate at all levels with staff, clients and professional contacts.
*All staff are expected to be computer literate and become familiar with our case management system.
