Our client, a large and successful organisation, is seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join their finance team on a full-time, permanent basis.
As the Finance Assistant, you’ll be responsible for overseeing a portfolio of costs, ensuring expenditure is accurately recorded while supporting budgeting, forecasting and month-end reporting. Working closely with the Department Managers and wider finance team, you’ll gain valuable commercial exposure across a varied finance function.

The responsibilities:
*Manage a portfolio of costs and balance sheet accounts
*Process invoices accurately and within agreed deadlines
*Prepare accruals, prepayments and month-end journals
*Monitor expenditure against budgets and investigate variances
*Complete regular account reconciliations
*Support fixed asset and depreciation accounting
*Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
*Support month-end, year-end and wider finance activities
The candidate:
*Previous experience within a finance or accounts environment
*AAT qualified or studying towards a relevant financial qualification preferred
*Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail and accuracy
*Confident using Excel, with intermediate to advanced skills
*Well organised, communicative and able to manage competing deadlines
