Job Description:
Full job descriptionMacKenzie King are working with a successful, growing business based in Woolpit to find an organised and enthusiastic Accounts Support Administrator to join their supportive Accounts team.
This is a varied support role, providing day-to-day administrative and data support to their busy Accounts team. This role would suit someone with good administration and IT skills who is accurate, organised and interested in developing their knowledge and experience within an Accounts environment.
Previous accounts experience is not essential, as training and support will be provided.
Key tasks and responsibilities
*Inputting and updating data accurately on company systems and spreadsheets.
*Generating regular reports and providing information to the Accounts team.
*Checking and maintaining electronic records to ensure information is accurate and up to date.
*Processing and uploading documentation to the relevant systems.
*Assisting with general Accounts administration.
*Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to or directing routine enquiries.
*Answering incoming telephone calls and dealing with or directing queries appropriately.
*Liaising with colleagues and depots to obtain information and documentation.
*Assisting with customer and supplier documentation and routine queries.
*Supporting the team with data processing and other administrative tasks.
*Providing additional support during busy periods and holiday absence.
*Learning and developing an understanding of the wider Accounts function.
Qualifications and experience
*Previous administration or office-based experience
*Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
*Confidence working with spreadsheets, systems and data
*Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
*Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a varied workload
*Good written and verbal communication skills
*A professional and confident telephone manner
*A positive and helpful approach to teamwork
*A willingness to learn and develop
Development & Progression
As you gain experience and develop your knowledge, there will be opportunities to learn more about purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control and wider financial administration, with the potential to progress into an Accounts Administrator role.
