Job Description:
Full job descriptionWe are partnering with a Freight Forwarder that’s hiring an Import Specialist in Essex.
Responsibilities:
*Facilitating communication across our diverse network, including customers, suppliers, and subcontractors, such as shipping lines, hauliers, and depots, ensuring seamless operations.
*Handling LCL shipments
*Responsible for coordinating deep sea and air freight shipments
*Tracking shipments for imports
*Auditing supplier invoices for accuracy and addressing discrepancies as necessary.
*Monitoring vessel arrivals to stay ahead of logistics and scheduling needs.
*Initiating and managing internal files to maintain organizational efficiency and document control
*Generating invoices to ensure accurate billing and financial documentation
*Coordinating collections and deliveries, prioritising adherence to customer deadlines for optimal satisfaction
Skills Required:
*2+ years experience working for a freight forwarder
*Deep sea imports experience
*Air freight knowledge preferred
*Experience using software such as CNS, Multi Freight or Destin8
*Excellent communication skills
*Proficient in MS Office
