Job Description:
Full job descriptionHales Group are recruiting for a CNC Machinist / Toolmaker to join our client based in Beccles, Suffolk.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading global manufacturer within a skilled Toolroom environment. Working as part of an experienced engineering team, you’ll be responsible for manufacturing new tooling, maintaining existing tooling and supporting production operations with high-quality precision engineering solutions.

Package & Benefits
Location - Beccles, Suffolk
Hours - Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00, Friday 07:00-13:00
Salary - £37,405.55 per annum

Key Responsibilities
*Manufacture new tooling and ancillary components using a variety of machine tools and equipment
*Maintain and repair existing tooling to support production requirements
*Carry out CNC milling and turning activities to produce high-quality components
*Work accurately from engineering drawings and technical specifications
*Produce components to tight tolerances and high-quality finish requirements
*Use precision measuring equipment to inspect and verify completed work
*Support production teams with tooling and engineering-related requirements
*Ensure all work meets required quality and workmanship standards
*Adhere to Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality procedures at all times
*Maintain high standards of housekeeping within the Toolroom
*Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support operational efficiencies

Requirements
*NVQ Level 3 Engineering qualification (or equivalent)
*Previous experience within a machining, toolmaking or precision engineering environment
*Milling and turning experience
*CNC machining experience
*Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
*Experience working to tight tolerances and quality standards
*Strong engineering and problem-solving skills
*Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
*Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Desirable
*Toolmaking experience
*Hurco control experience
*Fanuc control experience
*Toolroom environment experience
*Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent training
