Established, financially stable and growing international group are recruiting a permanent Finance Administrator to join their 20-person finance team. This is an excellent opportunity to join the Finance team and gain broad exposure across a variety of finance procedures.

Working as part of the Finance function, you will work closely with Finance Assistants and Purchase Ledger Assistants, supporting intercompany recharges, accounts payable, daily banking and cashbook allocations, employee expenses and credit cards.
Main Responsibilities of the Finance Administrator role:
*Generate intercompany recharge invoices from approved supporting information, ensuring accurate sales and purchase ledger coding.
*Support daily banking and cashbook activities, accurately allocating supplier and customer transactions.
*Process supplier invoices, checking coding, descriptions, supporting documentation and approval status.
*Review and action incoming invoices, requests and routine queries received through the accounts payable mailboxes.
*Support fortnightly and ad hoc supplier payment runs, including payment file preparation and upload.
*Investigate outstanding workflow approvals and follow up rejected transactions.
*Reconcile supplier statements and assist in resolving supplier and internal account queries.
*Support new supplier set-up and amendments, following bank-detail verification and validation procedures.
*Process credit card and employee expenses, reviewing VAT, receipts, coding and compliance with company policy.
*Assist with month-end accounts payable tasks and reconciliations.
Profile:
*Previous experience in finance, accounts payable or an administrative role is desirable, although entry-level candidates and those with internship experience will be considered.
*Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
*Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise routine and deadline-driven tasks.
*Confident using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
*Ability to follow established processes, controls and approval requirements.
*Strong team player who is reliable, consistent and able to work collaboratively while also taking direction.
*Good problem-solving skills and the ability to investigate and resolve transactional queries.
*Exposure to accounting or ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle or Sage would be advantageous.
*Awareness of VAT, supplier controls and fraud-prevention procedures would be beneficial
*AAT study or an interest in developing a career within finance would be advantageous.
